This year’s International Convention started big, with the yearly event showing its biggest Opening Night attendance in history. Held at the AATF Sports Complex in Imus, Malagasang, Cavite, the yearly event saw a jam-packed complex last Sunday, October 11, 2015. The theme of the event is, “Walking in the Apostolic Ways” taken from 1 Corinthians 4:17.
The Sports Complex, which was designed to hold 7,000 delegates, had suddenly become too small for the attending brethren. Seats were already placed in the Lobby and in the Covered Walk Area – both locations were likewise filled to capacity with brethren. The brethren came not only from different locations in the country, but also came from other countries all over the world. There were brethren from the local churches in Singapore, Japan, Spain, France, New Zealand, the Middle East and of course, the US. Currently, the PMCC (4th Watch) has churches in over 60 countries.
Opening the Sunday Worship Service, brethren from the Middle East performed a musical presentation mirroring the similarities of Noah and The Goodman of the House. Afterwards a powerful Joyful Singing was led by Sis. Rachel Ferriol and the Malagasang Praise and Worship Group. Ptr. Polly Mendoza, coordinator of Davao District, led the Opening Prayer. Bishop Aldrin Palanca, coordinator of the Middle East District, delivered the Offertory Message. He taught the brethren the way of Apostolic Giving and also mentioned several testimonies in how God provided the brethren with the means to achieve their desire of giving.
Bishop Art Ferriol, Cavite District Coordinator, introduced the Keynote Speaker: Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, the Goodman of the House. The Apostle then delivered the moving message, focusing on the theme, and mentioned the importance of following the Apostolic Way. The message was powerful, direct to the point and brief, providing the brethren ample time to prepare for the activities the next day. (A. Miciano)
