Tel Aviv, Israel- The adult Department of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) converged to this country to celebrate the 4th Adult Conference of the Philippi District. God with His mercies willed it to happen to delegates from the Philippi (Europe) district. This event was all the more significant for because Israel, the nation, is very special to God. Furthermore, it was the first time the locale church in Israel has hosted this kind of event and as such, the excitement has emancipated into something glorious for everyone present!

This year’s theme; taken from the book of Acts 2:42 ” Apostolic Calling Trusted Service”. The opening service on the first day was held in the hall of Kibbutz Moran. God has provided this spiritual event with seasoned and endeared speakers such as Ptr Gallagher Concepcion, the Coordinator of the West Pacific District (USA), Ptr Rhodora L.Ramos, Sub-coordinator of this same district and Ptr Alex Andaya, a resident pastor in Melbourne, Australia.

There are workshops done to help the brethren on topics such as: Medics and First Aid Technique, Photography, Emcee and Song leading, Corsage Making and Massage Therapy.

Concurrent with these activities were the Seminar for Elders and Team Building and also the MBS classes being held at the same time.

Part of this gathering was the essential tours of biblical places seen in Israel. The group had a once in a life time adventure visiting holy places such as Jerusalem. The group’s first stop was the Wailing Wall or commonly known as the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa – the Old City of Jerusalem, held to be the path that Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion. The winding route from a distance of about 600 metres (2,000 feet)—is a celebrated place of Christian pilgrimage. From here, everyone entered the Damascus gate. This gate is a principal gate of the old city of Jerusalem.

The journey will not be complete without visiting the Garden Tomb. Said to be the place where our Saviour Jesus Christ was buried and resurrected on the third day. The group then boarded the tour bus and reached the Jordan River. , the next stop was Dead Sea. The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years.

The tour concluded to the Mount of Olives. Several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, took place in here and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven.

The concluded 4th Adult Conference was indeed filled with cornucopia of activities set to edify our spirits. From the moment we set foot on the land special to God, we have experienced first hand the work of God in His Church. Had not for the calling of the Goodman of the House, the Apostle in the end time, we would not have been partakers of these many blessings!

To God be all the Glory!
